Quick Start
1
Branch out. Hover a box and click + to add a branch to its right, or × to remove it with everything after it.
2
Edit in place. Click any name, branch label, probability or payoff to change it. Click a square, circle or triangle to switch between decision, chance and outcome.
3
Type it out. In the Outline panel: the first line is the first decision, Tab nests a branch under the line above, and "Yes: Replace it" puts Yes on the branch.
4
Add the numbers. "Strong demand | 60% | $4.2m" adds a probability and a payoff. Expected values and the best option then appear on their own.
5
Just a flowchart? Leave the numbers out: questions with Yes and No branches make a clean troubleshooting or eligibility tree.
6
Share or export. Set a Prefix and Suffix for money ("$", "m"). Copy link shares an editable chart; Export PNG gives a slide-ready image at 2x.

Questions

Does it calculate expected value?

Yes. Add probabilities and payoffs and every chance and decision node shows its EV; the best option is highlighted.

What do the shapes mean?

The standard notation: a square is a decision, a circle a chance event, a triangle an end outcome.

Can I make a yes/no flowchart?

Yes. Leave out the numbers and put Yes or No on each branch: "Yes: Replace the cable" in the outline.

How big can the tree be?

Five levels including the first decision, up to 5 branches per node and 40 nodes in all.
